What means free or premium?
There are different types of file hosts. On the one hand, there are the free hosts, where users can download your files without any major restrictions. On the other hand, there are premium file hosts, where a paid premium account is required for downloading, as downloads are severely restricted by speed and hourly limits.
What a free file host offers you
In addition to free registration and use of the service, the platform allows for the seamless sharing and downloading of multiple files without significant restrictions. However, a partner program and the availability of downloads are usually not provided.
What a premium file host defines
Premium file hosts typically require a paid premium account for full access. Free usage is often impractical due to severely throttled download speeds. After each download, there is usually a waiting period of several hours before another can be initiated. To attract users, these hosts often offer a partner program, providing compensation for downloads or sales of premium accounts.
How is the rating conducted?
I try to evaluate the different file hosts as neutrally as possible. I consider the following negative points to be very important:
- No customer support or a satisfactory response that takes over 10 days
- For downloader:
- Download speed in free mode of less than 100KB/s
- Premium account price of over $100 per year
- Premium account limit of 25GB/d or lower
- For uploader:
- Withdrawals that take longer than 2 weeks
- Minimum withdrawal amount of $50 and more
- Hidden withdrawal fees and/or no free withdrawal option
On the other hand, the following factors contribute positively to the rating:
- A very good customer service that solves problems within 4 days
- For downloader:
- Download speed in free mode of 1MB/s or more
- Premium account limit of at least 50GB/d
- For uploader:
- PPS compensation of at least 50%
- PPD compensation of $20/1000Dls or higher
- Minimum withdrawal amount under $20
